Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson, a Golden Globe Award-winning performer and two-time Olivier Award recipient, made her Broadway debut with Jake Gyllenhaal in Nick Payne's Constellations. Her best-known role is as Alison Lockhart, in Showtime's "The Affair", for which she received a Golden Globe Award. Film credits include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House, Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger, and Anna Karenina. The latter two at Donmar Warehouse. Donmar Warehouse she won Olivier Awards, Best Actress in Anna Christie, opposite Jude Law and Best Actress in A Streetcar Named Desire with Rachel Weisz. The National Theatre Nominated her for The Olivier Award as Best Actress in Hedda Gabrieller. Wilson made an appearance in BBC's "Luther," nominated for eight Emmy Awards. For the BBC miniseries "Jane Eyre," she received nominations from both Golden Globes and BAFTAs for Best Leading Actress. She debuted at stage on the London scene in 2007 for the production by the National Theatre of Maxim Gorky's Philistines she also appeared in the Almeida Theatre adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's Through a Glass Darkly.
